Export objects / scene

The tool is highlighted with a blue circle on the image above. After making modifications you have couple of different options how to continue. You can export .fbx and .stl -formatted files from the software and contine your project with the design software of your choice. The second option is to continue the current work in Design Space, and use softwares own load and save system, by saving your current work, load it later and continue your project. The image below has all the different tools inside.

1. Close tool

Close the current tool and return to the tool menu


2. Export .fbx

After you have done your modifications to the current scene, you can export .fbx file from the Design Space. Exported .fbx file is located in C:\Users\"USERNAME"\Documents\Design Space\Exports -folder.


3. Export .stl

After you have done your modifications to the current scene, you can export .stl file from the Design Space. Exported .stl file is located in C:\Users\"USERNAME"\Documents\Design Space\Exports -folder.


4. Save

Save your current work progress. If you are working offline or online and want to continue with your unfinished project in the future, click save with tool controller's trigger button and save the current status of the scene. The saved scene can be located from C:\Users\"USERNAME"\Documents\Design Space\Saves -folder. The save file you created consists of the scene name and timestamp. Save files format is .3dt .


5. Load

After opening Export objects / scene-tool, on the right side of the tool panel there is a dropdown list of your saved scenes. Select the wanted save file by pointing it with the tool controller's pointer and select the save by clicking the controller's trigger. After selecting it the name turns to yellow. Last step then is to select and click the Load button from the tool menu.
