Source model units can be in meters, centimeters and millimeters depending on software used and project settings. Equal unit must be input into Design Space upload settings, to maintain scale.

FBX 2014 is the most reliable format, but Design Space currently supports up to v. 2016, with a scheduled compatibility upgrade to v. 2018 and the work is ongoing for that [2019 Roadmap].

Built in cameras and lights are currently not supported. Removing this obstacle is a planned [2019 Roadmap] feature.

It’s advisable to first use a smaller (sub-50Mb) FBX chunk, and then as upload settings are verified to be required, move on to uploading the full model file.

FBX files that are 2 Gb and over, can lead to performance issues in runtime, depending on your hardware setup. A model of 50 Megabytes is expected to convert in 15 minutes and larger files can be expected to take a few hours (1,5 Gigabytes and up).
